Reenlistment

This week I took a step to stay in the Army for at least a little longer. I reenlisted for an additional 15 months. The bonus I received for reenlisting was $5500, which has gone down significantly over the past few years from what you used to get for reenlisting while deployed. At least, I will be able to pay off my car loan quicker, and still have some money saved up when I leave Iraq.

Working late again. It gets old after a while and you definitely begin to be annoyed by some of the people you work with. I even get annoyed with the ones that I'm not working with, especially when they make assumptions about us having so much time off during a 12 hour shift, but don't understand we're still stuck in one place, away from everyone for the whole 12 hours.

Congratulations on your re-enlistment Jason. I find it hard to believe that anyone could get annoyed at any Army Bandsman for any reason!(snark)Why the long shifts?

So glad your blog is up and running again...We had quite a storm last night into today. Ice and freezing rain from mid afternoon, yesterday, with snow piling ontop of it starting about 6:30 this AM. What a mess! Schools were delayed and then a group of them lost electricity, so just about bus time, they cancelled them. So the cleanup begins!! I got your email address from Gail, but I don't know what rank you are. We'll probably mail your box after the first of the year, so you can enjoy something later. Tell the ladies of your band that I will be sending paperbacks, that require not a lot of effort to read.they'll understand. Ask them if "Woman's World" would be enjoyed. We are keeping you and your bandmates in are thoughts and prayers. Aunt, LInda, Uncle Al & Grandma B.
