Christmas nearing...

Sorry it’s been so long between posts. I attempted to upload some pictures, but things were pretty slow. I’ll give it another try soon.

There hasn’t been anything new to report. Same work schedule day after day. I’ve kept up with a pretty good workout routine. I think I like it mostly because it makes you workout every other day, instead of alternating between different muscle groups. It gives me a little more time to sleep on the off days, which is really nice working 6-7 nights each week. I’ve probably managed to lose about 8-10 lbs since I got here. Can’t be for sure, since the scales were not calibrated when we got here, only a couple weeks ago.

I’ve received a lot of packages since it’s getting close to Christmas. Still expecting a few that probably have gotten stuck in the mix with everyone else. I can definitely say that I won’t need nuts or coffee anytime soon, including creamer (thanks Dad). After Christmas, as well, I don’t need any more sweets and cookies.

Christmas is about two days away. At least that’s what the calendar says. Some folks in the band have put up tons of decorations in the barracks and or FRG sent a Christmas tree that was put up at work. We’ve also been getting different care packages from kids groups with lots of cards. So, it’s feeling a little more festive around here. There will be the normal Christmas dinner, at lunch, but I won’t be able to have the most important meal of the holidays, Grandma and Grandpa’s anniversary lasagna.

I have just one more week, until Jan 1, that I work nights, then I will start playing in brass quintet for two months. Hopefully, that will be a good break, but I haven’t decided how I feel about that, yet.

if I could freeze-dry the lasagna, it would already be in the mail. Unfortunately, I think we're going to have to make up for it next year.

I hope you're having a good Christmas. I miss you!!!

It is nearing midnight, Christmas eve. All of us want to wish you a very blessed Christmas. Once things settle after the 1st of the year, please let me know of any specific items you need or would just enjoy. You and your bandmates are in our prayers. Love Aunt LInda & Grandma B.
